Student Dismissal Information
Valet (cars)
Valet is for students in first through sixth grades only.
Students in valet will be escorted to a safe line-up spot and wait to be called to their valet pick-up number. Cars will be loaded twelve at a time. To expedite this process, please make a sign with your student’s name and grade and place it on the passenger side of your dashboard. You may include multiple children on one sign.
Do not park or stop or unload in the bus zone on Brookhaven Ave.
There are NO U-TURNS permitted along Brookhaven Avenue at any spot.
During arrival and dismissal, all cars exiting the parking lot MUST turn right. During arrival and dismissal, we have designated both lanes as a right turn lane, alternating one car at a time.
To ensure everyone's’ safety, please be aware and courteous as you drive through and exit the parking lot. To ensure safety, we ask that you not use your cell phone while driving in our parking lot.
If a parent is detained from picking up a child on time, the parent must notify the school as soon as possible. Parents will be notified when students remain at school past the 2:30 PM guideline. (Exceptions will be for Homework Club and/or after school enrichment programs) After the third notification, the district Student Services office may be contacted.
Walkers
All TK and K students must be picked up at their designated gate by an adult.
1st-6th grade students may be picked up at the front of the school to meet their parent/guardian.
Parents of walkers may wait in the grassy area on Brookhaven Ave. in front of the school and should not come onto campus unless they have an appointment with the teacher or need to stop in the office.
Keep the sidewalk clear to allow students.
Use the crosswalk to safely cross the street.
As much as possible, avoid walking across the car entrance and exit. Starting in October, the sidewalk directly in front of the school on Brookhaven Ave. will be closed for walkers.

Music Information
We are fortunate to have music class for our 4th-6th graders. Last week, students attended an assembly that introduced them to the music choices they have this year:
Vocal: 4th, 5th, & 6th; new & returning students
Strings: 4th-beginning, 5th-intermediate, 6th-advanced
Band: 5th-beginning, 6th-advanced
Discuss with your student the option they would like to commit to for the year, then sign up here (due September 8).
There will be an Information Night for parents who are new to the elementary music program. The meeting will be held at Lakeview Elementary on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
