Band is off to State
Good luck to Bandon High School band students as they head to state competitions which will be held at Oregon State University on Friday, May 13th. The band will leave Thursday after school. For those wanting to participate in the send-off, please line up in front of BHS and help us cheer loudly, and show our support for our talented students and their awesome instructor, Mr. Dave Weston. GOOD LUCK TIGERS!!!
DO YOU HAVE A TEXTBOOK AT HOME THAT BELONGS TO BHS?
Attention students, please turn in all outstanding textbooks and or library books you may have from last year or the first semester of this year. The office will be sending out bills for missing books.
End of Year Festivities are Coming!
We have begun the hard work of organizing the 8th grade promotion and other end of year activities. Please be on the look our of emails and snail mail regarding details! Our 8th grade promotion is scheduled for June 15th from 6-7pm. The 8th graders will going bowling on the 15th in the afternoon. There is no school for 8th graders on the 16th.
Year Book Photo Requests
The HLMS Yearbook is looking for pictures from school events to add to this year's yearbook. If you have candid pictures of sports, band, or any other HLMS activities, we would love for you to send them to hlms_yearbook@bandon.k12.or.us
Lost and Found
Our lost and found at our school is bursting at the seams! If you suspect your student may have lost a jacket or sweater, please remind them to check our lost and found.
8th Grade Fundraiser
This week 8th grade students were sent home with a form that had information about donating to the class of 2026 event fund. This is an account/program put on by parent volunteers to help fund this years "8th grade recognition party". Any money left over will roll towards future events for the class of 2026. Call the office if you did not see this form and you want more information.
Cell Phone Policy
Just a reminder, students are not allowed to have cell phones out during school hours. We require them to be kept off and in their locker or backpack during the day. This includes breaks and at lunch. Please encourage your student to come to the office or their teachers if they have a concern or need help instead of reaching out to you via cell phone during the day. This way we can help make sure that all your student's needs are being met. We have a student phone available in the commons that is always available.
