What is Symmetrical Balance?
- Symmetrical Balance is the even distribution of elements both vertically and horizontally.
Example One
This image is vertically symmetrical, because if you split the image vertically each side is a duplicate of the other.
Example Two
This image is both vertically and horizontally symmetrical because if you split the image either vertically or horizonally, the image would be a mirrored image.
Example Three
This image is vertically symmetrical because the only way both sides of the image would be a replica of the other would be if you were to split the image straight down the middle.
Example Four
This image is vertically symmetrical, because the buildings on either side of the center are duplicates of each other.
