Headteacher's Comment

We are back! We are delighted to have all the children back in school (I am sure you are too), following the latest Covid Lockdown.

What a first week back too with our World Book Day activities. The children and adults all looked superb and really got into the spirit of the day. Don't forget to enter the Masked Reader competition too, prizes are on offer.

During the first week we also had our Early Years outdoor area developed, due to winning a Lottery bid. The children can't wait to get wet, muddy and active with the new equipment. Thanks to you all for helping with this over a year ago by filling in the play facilities questionnaire.

During the holidays we are going to be holding an Easter Camp on the school site, which will involve physical, creative and culinary activities. More information below.

Unfortunately I have not been in school much since the children have been back, this has been due to a family bereavement. I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and support during this period.

Thanks

Mr D. Nelson

World Book Day

Well done you all for making such a great effort this year. There were some amazing costumes.

Early Years Outdoor Play

Easter Camp

We are providing an Easter Camp for a limited number of children in Years 1 - 6. We are able to do this with the help of a number of organisations, including Newcastle United Foundation, Leading Link, Northumberland Communities Together, All Star Productions and Greggs Foundation.

The camps will provide children with breakfast, lunch and a range of activities. Each day will run from 9.30am until 2.00pm. Due to continuing Covid restrictions we are having to limit numbers and ensure that the children of different year groups remain in their 'bubbles'.

Further details will be coming out later this week.

Please click on this link to let us know if you are interested in your child attending or not.

Easter Holidays

Easter holidays are nearly upon us. A reminder that we break up for the Easter holidays on Friday 26th March, at the usual finishing times. This is a two week break from school and will welcome everyone back on Monday 12th April.

During the holidays if you are eligible for free school meals you will receive Huggg vouchers to cover the provision over the break.

Absence Reporting

A gentle reminder to inform us at the earliest opportunity if your child is going to be absent for any reason. Ideally leave a message on the answerphone before school starts or alternatively send a message to your class teacher via Class Dojo.
