The third annual Groves Elementary Science Fair is coming up on March 26, 2020. The Science Fair is optional for grades K-5. This year, there will be two fairs in one. One is for Science/Engineering Projects (traditional science fair projects) and the other is for Scientific Explorations (demonstrations, research, and models).

During the week of February 10-14, Groves Elementary will celebrate kindness and promote anti-bias concepts in order to create safe, inclusive and respectful classroom and school environments. We would also like to show kindness to our community during this week by collecting needed items. A group of our students have researched the needs of the homeless community and have come up with a plan to help. We would like for this to be a schoolwide effort to help raise awareness for those experiencing homelessness in our community.
Students are encouraged to bring the following items to donate during Kindness Week:
Trial size toothpaste and toothbrushes
Quart size ziplock bags
Trial size deodorant
Trial size mouthwash and dental floss
