District Spring Attendance Guidelines:
Beginning January 6, 2021 our attendance will be taken according to the way it was prior to COVID-19. If your child is absent from face to face learning due to sickness, death or another extenuating circumstance, please send a note to school regarding the absence. Your child is welcome to log in and participate in online learning but will not be counted present for the day. After this semester, the gold sheet used at the high school will no longer be utilized.
If your child is absent and they are unable to participate in online learning, they will have one day per absence to make up any missed work.
Just a reminder for remote learners in grades 6-12, attendance will be taken as follows:
Intermediate (6th Graders) - Follow their 2nd-7th period core class schedule Synchronously and attendance for those periods will be taken by Google Meets at the beginning of the period daily.
Junior High (7th & 8th Graders) - Follow their 2nd - 6th period core class schedule Synchronously and attendance for those periods will be taken by Google Meets at the beginning of the period daily.
High School (8th - 12th Graders) - Follow their class schedule and attendance will be taken by Google Meets at the first of each period. Online college classes will not be expected to login for BHS attendance purposes.
Have a safe and wonderful Christmas and new year.
8th Graders attending the World Strides Field Trip 2021
Whether you're connecting virtually or celebrating Thanksgiving in-person with friends and family, don't forget to tell everyone about your upcoming trip with WorldStrides.
The holidays are the perfect time to use our Gift of Education fundraising program—every single dollar you raise goes directly toward the trip price, and it's incredibly easy to get started. Simply send an e-card, share a message on social media, or customize a letter telling everyone about the iconic sights and immersive learning you'll experience on tour.
When your aunts, uncles, and grandparents ask what you want for the holidays this year, remember: there's no better gift than the gift of travel and education.
Best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving!
Your WorldStrides Team
CLASS OF 2025
Since we are unable to do any fundraising this year due to Covid, we are asking that all parents of class of 2025 pay $100 in dues. Usually the dodgeball tournament, which we can’t have this year, raises about $15,000 and we will not have that money to start a class fund. The money we raise goes to pay for prom, project prom, graduation, etc. By our junior year, we will need around $40,000 so we need to start saving now.
You may make a single payment of $100, two payments of $50, or four payments of $25. Our Venmo account is listed below or you can go by the bank on 1189 with a check made out to class of 2025. Jana Snow, our treasurer, is keeping a spreadsheet of how much each student has paid. Thank you so much for your support. We wish that we could do more fun events to raise money, but with the circumstances as they are we just can’t. If you have any questions, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 817-296-1188.
