Looking back
July went by so fast. The children had fun spending time outside playing in the sprinklers, working with play dough, Lego’s and sand. As we submerged ourselves into the depths of the ocean, we had a wonderful time looking at ocean animals and shells and exploring their habitats both inside and outside the classroom.
We walked to the library to watch the puppet show “Puppylocks and the Three Bears” by Magical Moonshine Theater. It was a funny and very entertaining performance. The children absolutely loved it! Later in the month we went on the little excursion to Kenilworth Park by the library. The children had an amazing time playing at a different playground!
Looking forward
August is pet and transportation month. If you have a pet at home please bring their picture to share. At the end of the month we will gear up our bikes/scooters and head to McKinley Elementary School for a bike/scooter ride on their blacktop. Please, make sure your child has a helmet and a bike or scooter that he or she can ride without assistance. The children will have to push and ride their bikes/scooters on their own. They should feel confident with one or the other. Thank You.
Reminder: The Willow Tree School will be closed August 28 and 29th.
