Central Office announces new hires for 2016-2017


Chief Human Resources Officer

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Lisa Simpkins as Chief Human Resources Officer. Lisa joined the Francis Howell School District in 2013, as Director of Human Resources, and has served in that role since that time. Prior to coming to Francis Howell, Lisa was Director of Support Personnel in the Ft. Zumwalt School District for twelve years. Before working in an education setting, Lisa worked in an HR role in a business setting. Please join me in welcoming Lisa to her new role.


Mrs. Simpkins is replacing Dr. Griggs who will be retiring at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.


Chief Academic Officer

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Nicole Whitesell as Chief Academic Officer. Nicole has served for the past five years as Executive Director of Secondary Education in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. Prior to that, Nicole’s roles included building administrator and teacher. Please join me in welcoming Nicole to the Francis Howell School District.


Mrs. Whitesell will be replacing Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris who will assume the role of District Superintendent beginning July 1st.

Important Information

St. Louis Cardinals Day

For the St.Louis Cardinals home opener on Monday, April 11th, it will be an official "Cardinals Day" here at Francis Howell Middle School. Wear jeans and Cardinal attire (hats included) to help kick off the home opener game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
