A Note from Mrs. Nandlal about our Amazing Staff!

Mahanay Star Staff,

This week I am HONORED to recognize the hardest working staff in the world! Literally, they are! If I could give each one of them $1 million, it would still not be enough!!!

They have sacrificed their own health this year to teach and work with other people’s children. They have put themselves out there daily, learning new ways (virtual, hybrid, F2F, etc.) to reach and teach their students while trying to stay healthy for their families.

They were made captains of ships that sailed through unchartered waters and they NAILED IT!!!! Some using technology skills they didn’t even know they had! You name it, THEY’VE DONE IT and done it with Grace, Dignity, and Love; NEVER giving up on each other or their students.

I cannot say this year has been easy. We have laughed, learned, and cried together, but not one day have we given up!!!! You have definitely earned a restful summer!

Thank you for all you do for our students and families! You are true heroes!

Counselor's Corner

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Mental health is important to everyone's health and there are resources available if you need to talk or ask questions for yourself or someone you care about.

For 2021’s Mental Health Awareness Month NAMI will continue to amplify the message of “You Are Not Alone.” We will use this time to focus on the healing value of connecting in safe ways, prioritizing mental health and acknowledging that it’s okay to not be okay through NAMI’s blog, personal stories, videos, digital toolkits, social media engagements and national events.

Together, we can realize our shared vision of a nation where anyone affected by mental illness can get the appropriate support and quality of care to live healthy, fulfilling lives — a nation where no one feels alone in their struggle.

Below is a link to some websites and resources, and we will be glad to help in any way possible. Please call the school, 281-983-8355 to speak with our counselor or email her at .
