Hot dog! Frankfest is Friday, September 9th
Remember the first early bird raffle for our Mother's Day Raffle will take place at Frankfest. Thank you for buying/selling your raffle tickets. Be sure to send in your ticket stubs.
A letter went home calling for donations for each classroom's themed raffle basket. Please send in items for your child(red)'s class basket no later than Tuesday, September 6th. The teachers and I will be wrapping the baskets after school that day.
At Frankfest, we will be assisting the St. Vincent DePaul Society with a clothing drive.
The (collection) trailer will be available for donated items on Friday, September 9th from 2-4 p.m. (Pick up your child from school and drop off bag(s) of clothing at the same time! The trailer will be open from 5-6:30 p.m. as well.) Please help us help others. Please do not drop off items at the school or parish office; we need to utilize their trailer.
Frankfest is co-sponsored by Student Council and our Home and School Association.

Let the First Box Top Challenge of the Year Begin! Meet Mrs. McGee, Our New Coordinator!
Welcome back to school, Parents! My name is Denise McGee, and I’m thrilled to be our school’s Box Tops for Education™ Coordinator.
Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school. Each one is worth 10¢ for our school! Just look for the pink Box Tops on hundreds of products. All you have to do is clip them and send them to school.
Last school year, we earned $1,800 for our school from Box Tops.
For more information on Box Tops, including a list of participating products, go to BTFE.com. Be sure to sign up as a member (it’s free!) so you can check out our school’s earnings details and get access to coupons and bonus offers
Here is the link to download a collection sheet. (We'll also send one home from time to time.) http://www.boxtops4education.com/about/collection-sheets
Purchase participating products, clip the box top, attach to form and send form to school.
I'm very excited to announce our 1st Box Tops challenge for 2016-17. We will be raffling off a $50 Target gift card. You will receive an entry into the raffle for every 25 Box Tops you submit between September 1 and October 28th.
So.....get all your family and friends to start clipping box tops!
Let's make this another great year!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Operation Buddy Bench
St. Ann Parish is joining the ABC (A Bench for Caps) Promise Partnership, an exciting teaching tool that takes bottle caps and tops and transforms them into benches. Children will see that they can make a difference by helping collect and sort these plastic items as they learn about recycling, and then see the result of their efforts in a beautiful “buddy bench” for the school grounds!
You can help by bringing your plastic caps and tops to the specially marked barrel in the Narthex. You can also send them to the school.
The following is a list of acceptable caps and lids:
Caps from: medicine bottles, milk jugs, detergent, hair spray, toothpaste cubes, deodorant, drink bottle, flip-tops (ketchup, mustard), spout (mustard), ointment tubs and caps with the recycle numbers of 2, 4, 5.
Lids from: cottage cheese containers, mayonnaise jar, yogurt, peanut better jar, ice cream buckets, cool whip containers, coffee cans, cream cheese containers, butter containers.
Not acceptable are trigger sprayers, fast food drink lids, lotion or soap pumps.
In the near future, all of our students during a religion class will help to sort the caps as a school-side service project; we'll send our lids off to exchange for a buddy bench.
If you have any questions, please call Debbie Wright at the Parish Office, 895-6700.
