Weekly Newsletter for the Henri A. Yelle Elementary
Boosterthon 2020 Success
Newsletter for January 24th
Hello from the Yelle.
Another sensational week! Boosterthon culminated with our reaching our goal of $15,000 and the Glow Run in the gym. It really was an amazing week. I have tons of pictures and video below of the Run 2020; please check them out.
As I mentioned last week, Jumpman J and Acrobat Cat were all over the school every day and all day while they were greeting students at the door, in every classroom, in the cafeteria, out at recess, and for Jumpman taking multiple pies to the face and eggs to the head; he is a trooper and they were sensational.
Please make sure you check out the rest of the Newsletter, and if you haven't seen all the videos on the Boosterthon or Teamwork by students with Mr. G's Classroom Takeover, Click on the Purple Bar below for the Wakelet story of all the Tweets from this week. They are amazing.
Below, you will find a detailed Calendar of upcoming events and other important dates as well. Please check it out.
Please continue to check out this newsletter either through your email, Twitter, or from the Yelle website, and please let me know if you would like or need more updates and/or communication from our school.
Thanks; have a great weekend,
Marty

Booster themselves call it the "best fundraiser ever" and I 100% agree. It is phenomenal. The 2020 Yelle Boosterthon was such an amazing success for our school, our PTO, and all of our students.
Jumpman J and Acrobat Cat were with our students each and everyday greeting them at the door with music, announcing how we are progressing, getting into every class giving lessons on Character or reading books or talking with our students, to dance parties at lunch, to playing at recess; they were everywhere with our students encouraging, enlightening, educating, and entertaining.
With this being our only fundraiser of the year, we had a goal of $15,000 and we reached it! I can't THANK everyone enough for their support!
Some highlights of the Boosterthon were definitely Mr. Geoghegan being duct-taped to the cafeteria wall and pied in the face by a 4th and 5th grade student during the two lunches when students reached an incentive.
Both Mr. Bielawa and Mr. G will be kissing a pig since our $15,000 goal was reached. We are all looking forward to that.
And there are just so many people to thank for their help in making the Glow Run a success. First and foremost, the help and support of our HAY PTO volunteers make this such a success. They do so much for the FunRun and for us as a school throughout the year. They are INCREDIBLE.
Our Teachers and Staff work hard in making sure each class is involved and pumping up the Boosterthon as something fun and enjoyable.
Like last year, we had our T-Shirt designed by a 5th Grade student and Lea S did such an amazing job that Jumpman J thought ours was designed by Boosterthon themselves. It was awesome.
This year, like last as well, we had Boosterthon T-shirt sponsors and they enabled us to have the T-shirt completely paid for. Please make sure you visit these awesome community members as they helped us out immensely:

Thank you.
Please see a video of what the Glow Run looks like below. I took a video of each group (which can be seen in the Wakelet story below) but it just looked too dark and many white T-shirted students running around. The video below is much better. Also check out all the pictures of the students having the best time.
