A Message from Mrs. Barnes
Julian Harris Elementary School
September Highlights
- All students participated in Club Day on September 8th. Students got to pick their top three club choices and were placed in a club from their choices. Everyone had a great time during our first club day of the year! We will have clubs once a month.
- We celebrated our Grandparents with a Grandparents Day Breakfast. We are so glad we had so many grandparents visit our school that week.
- We had some special visitors from our Central Office and community come share Words of Wisdom with us during our morning assembly and we look forward to more in the coming months.
- We had our student council campaign, speeches, and election. We are so proud of all the candidates.
- Students who received enough behavior points in September enjoyed a picnic lunch last Friday. Encourage your child to be on his/her best behavior daily in order to participate in our monthly behavior incentives.

Mrs. Barnes
My name is Angela Barnes and I am beyond excited and honored to be Julian Harris Elementary School principal. This will be my 36th year in education. I look forward to seeing all the smiling facing of students and adults eager to learn new things. I hope and pray that I can encourage others to be the best they can be and believe in themselves even on difficult days. There is always sunshine that comes with the rain. I begin every day by saying “it is going to be a great day!! If you believe you can do it you can!
