Three of the five courses in the Theater Sequence at Hewlett High School are now offered for college credit?

On Friday, October 11th, students in the Advanced Theater class attended a conference at Adelphi University's Garden City campus. Broadway actor, Ryann Redmond (currently starring on Broadway as Olaf in Frozen: The Musical) performed songs and was the key note speaker.

Students took workshops with Theater professionals in improvisation, comedy, stage make-up, prop design, set design, stage combat, dance and audition techniques in theater and musical theater.

Improv Olympics!

A successful Improv Olympics was held on October 17th in the Little Theater, sponsored by the Thespian Society.

The evening was comprised of entirely unrehearsed scenes based on audience suggestions and devised theater. Thank you for a lively and memorable evening!

And yet, of course, the theater is one of the few places left in the bright and noisy world where we sit in the quiet dark together, to be awake.

-Sarah Ruhl, playwright

Congratulations to our Thespian Honor Society members!
