A Note From Mr. Boone about Celebrate the Child
Hello everyone,
It's that time of year!!! Celebrate the Child will be held in the MPR on February 4th at 7pm. Anyone interested in singing up should go to the following link:
https://madamdirector.wufoo.com/forms/celebrate-the-child-registration/
For those unfamiliar with Celebrate the Child, each year we host a school wide talent show that is open to students, families, faculty, and staff. If you have a special talent that you would like to share please sign up. The deadline for signing up is being extended to Monday, January 23rd.
To answer a few Frequently Asked Questions.....
1. Each act is responsible for providing their own Karaoke track. The audience wants to hear your talent not the artist on the radio.
2. You may be in more that one act as long as the acts are not the same type of act. For example, you can be in a singing group and a dance group but you cannot be in two dance groups or two singing groups. You cannot sing two solos but you can sing a solo and sing in a group number.
3. Song selections are first come - first serve. We don't want five versions of Adele's Hello.
4. Songs and attire should be school appropriate.
5. Yes your dad can play guitar for you. Yes your aunt can play drums for you. Yes your friend from Georgia can perform with you as long as they adhere to the rules stated above.
6. Tracks (CDs or MP3 files) must be turned in or emailed to Mr. Boone no later than January 27.
