Dear IACS Community,

Happy 2023! Now that our calendars have flipped to a new year, it's exciting to think about what's in store for the remainder of this academic year. One of my favorite programs in our high school is Endersession. This unique, weeklong (June 12-16) program occurs at the very end of the school year where we say goodbye to the classrooms and engage in learning through staff designed (and led) courses.

Our staff has designed over 25 options ranging from on campus options (ex: muraling, building a musical instrument, "IACS TV", etc.) to far-ranging adventures in Iceland, Tennessee, New York, and Florida. Because these trips take months of advanced planning, all high school students and families were emailed this year's Endersession Packet. Even if your student is not in high school yet, you should definitely check out these options as a preview of adventures that they may participate in when the time comes.

Big picture

This afternoon we closed out the week with an Endersession Fair where students could circulate around the cafeteria and library to learn more about offerings so they can make better informed selections. I'm sure I speak for many high school students and staff when I say that Endersession can't come soon enough!

In partnership,

Greg Orpen,

Head of School

Endersession, June 12-16th

Endersession, June 12-16th

Staff hosted an Endersession Fair today to enable students to learn more about the options available to them as well as ask questions.

We hope you will have a chance to sit down with your students and decide which options make the most sense for your family.

Here is the full list of Endersession Proposals.

As you can read from the descriptions in this packet, there is a wide range of course offerings. Our staff has proposed courses that hopefully meet our goal of creating a wide range of options for all students and all budgets. The efforts by staff to make these courses possible are tremendous. We hope students and families are as excited by the options as we are!

Endersession Forms are due by Friday, January 27th.
