The Beatles
by: Steve Koshy
How did they change Blues/Rock and Roll?
They were different. Partly cause they were an English band yet stood out compared to American bands. They also had been singing together for years so they had a outstanding sound. So when they covered other American songs they sounded amazing and stood out to the people.
What made them so appealing?
They were appealing because they were able to sound in unison and with the perfect amount of harmony and melody due to their years of singing together. Also they covered other songs and made them sound even better than the originals which made them very appealing to the public. They changed music with their own as well as just refurbishing and singing covers of other songs.
Rock n Roll Rythm and Blues
Rhythm and blues, often abbreviated as R&B or RnB, is a genre of popular African-American music that originated in the 1940s. The term was originally used by record companies to describe recordings marketed predominantly to urban African Americans, at a time when "urbane, rocking, jazz based music with a heavy, insistent beat" was becoming more popular. In the commercial rhythm and blues music typical of the 1950s through the 1970s, the bands usually consisted of piano, one or two guitars, bass, drums, saxophone, and sometimes background vocalists
Why are they still relevant today?
The Beatles stood out back in the day as one of the greatest bands and they left a mark on the music industry that still cuts deep today. People are still fascinated by their music and the way that flow so beautifully and effortlessly. They were a great band that vibed very well together and changed RnB forever, so they are still relevant today because they were the best of the best and will never be forgotten.
