  • Participants must be registered to attend an online or face to face session.
Face to Face Sessions:

  • R6 ESC abides by Texas COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.

Online Sessions:
  • When participating in a group with one person signed into the online session:
  1. All participants must be registered.
  2. Type each participant's name and district name in the chatbox of the session.

Monday, Nov. 9th, 9am-12pm

Join us to learn Food Production Record (FPR) skills to include how to fill out a FPR, how to use meal documentation to support the FPR and how to use the FPR to improve forecasting, communication, organization and to demonstrate compliance. Participants will receive guided activities to build confidence in providing accurate documentation to the Texas Department of Agriculture during an Administrative Review. Target Audience: CN Directors/Supervisors, Managers, and Production Staff

CN: Verification Report

Wednesday, Nov. 11th, 9-10am

This is an online event.

This is an online session to learn the steps for reporting data in the Verification Report located in TX-UNPS. The report is open December 1, 2020, and is due on February 1, 2021. Target Audience: CN Directors or CN Staff who conduct the Verification Process

CN: Directors Round Table Meeting

Thursday, Nov. 12th, 9-10:30am

This is an online event.

This session is part of a series of meetings for Directors to receive guidance on child nutrition compliance with regulations and policies. Updated information is provided with guidance resources. Region 6 Child Nutrition Specialists will allow Directors an open platform of discussion for compliance questions.

This meeting will include the following subject areas: Verifying Eligibility, Food Distribution Program, and Summer Mandate.

CN: MENU Module

Menu Enhancement Nutrition Software, also known as MENU Module, is a nutritional analysis software. The Texas Department of Agriculture provides free access for Contracting Entities participating in the National School Lunch Program! Every district, and sometimes sites within districts, handle day-to-day food production differently. But all districts must spend the time to calculate the nutritional value of each menu. MENU Module provides one login to store required documentation from inventory to production.

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Food & Nutrition Division is excited to announce a series of upcoming trainings on managing finances in child nutrition. Each session has been designed to provide tools and resources for operating lean without cutting corners. Please share webinar invitations with relevant members of your team.

Continuing Education
