Counselor's Corner
Dozier Elementary (January Edition)
CHARACTER TRAIT OF THE MONTH
Ways you can show perseverance:
•Study and work hard to improve your grades.
•Try a new sport or skill that is difficult and don’t quit.
•Always finish what you start. Do not give up when things get tough.
•Try something again, even if you failed the first time. Remember you had to learn to walk before you could run.
Guidance Lesson
Goal Setting
Self-efficacy refers to an individual's confidence in their ability to complete a task or achieve a goal if they work hard at something. People with strong self-efficacy are those who believe that they are capable of performing well. These people are more likely to view challenges as something to be mastered rather than avoided.
Guidance lessons this month will teach students to build strong self-efficacy by being able to goal set.
Lessons are in Nearpod (Codes):
5th Grade- CI5VW
4th Grade- EI3JW
