Important INFO!!!
April 18 - 22 - Math State Assessment
Homework packet 22 is coming home today. Attached to it you will find an information packet about our BIG Immigration Unit and Simulation that we do. This is definitely a favorite activity of the kids and you will find a lot of information about it. We need the kids to fill out a family history sheet and return so that we can begin our Immigration project. We also will need some volunteers for the Simulation day. All of this info you will find in the packet attached to homework. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns! :)

This Week
This week was full of testing and our kiddos rocked it! I was so proud of how hard they worked on the Reading State Assessment. Next week we will be taking the Math State Assessment. I cannot wait to see how hard they work then as well!
In math, we finished up our LAST math unit on geometry. The kids took their Unit 8 test today and did a great job! We also reviewed a bit for the Math State Assessment we have next week!
In social studies, we started Westward Expansion and started to talk about why pioneers began their journey westward in the 1800's. The kids had to load their own wagon and decide what to bring with them which was fun!
We also started a novel study on Shiloh during our normal reading group time. The kids are LOVING it which is so exciting to see!!! :)
Next Week
READING: Students will continuing Shiloh. We will also be using I-Station to continue improving our skills.
MATH: We will be taking our Math State Assessment.
Social Studies: We continue our unit on Westward Expansion! Think Oregon Trail. AND Lewis and Clark's expedition.
