University Elementary at La Fiesta
Principal Lunde's Weekly Update
Nov. 2, 2020
On Oct. 23, when the district network crashed, I was already on the school site at 7am and I had zero access to my communication tools. My internet, phone system, and cell phone services were down. Please know that I was seeking every medium to communicate with my staff and families. Thank you to my staff and to my parents who supported my efforts by using their tools from their homes to communicate the updates to our UELF Community.
My systematic communication tools are:
- Weekly Principal Newsletter - Emailed to families and posted on the UELF website, UELF Facebook Page and Twitter on Monday mornings.
- As I hear of events/updates, using school network email and text, teacher newsletters, teacher SeeSaw messages, teacher texts, and social media mediums to get information to families.
If you have questions or need clarifications about emergency communications, please try the following steps:
- Call/email the school (the office, Mrs. Lunde, the teachers).
- Call/email a UELF schoolmate.
- Check the CRPUSD Website.
- Call/email a CRPUSD schoolmate.
- Call Mrs. Lunde on her cell phone: 415-497-1317
As your educational leader, I promise to communicate with you all updates and plans for our community. My commitment is to the education of your children and for your children to receive a meaningful and stellar education academically, emotionally, and socially. Go Seawolves!
