Current title/school? Spanish I teacher at Belton Middle School
What inspires you to work in Belton ISD? Seeing all the innovation and what our teachers do for kids. I have three kids in Belton ISD schools (one is a senior) and would not want it any other way!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I graduated from Ellison High School when I was 16 years old.
What was a pivotal moment in your career? Last year I transitioned to the ESL coordinator position for Belton High. It allowed me to step ito a more administrative role and collaborate more with teachers. I missed sharing my culture, though, so I returned to teach Spanish without hesitation.
Academics? Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoneix

Parent and Student Surveys - Your Input Matters to Us!
If you haven't done so already, please take a couple minutes of your time to complete our parent survey.
On Monday during STRIPES, students will be taking a similar survey. BMS staff will be providing input through a survey as well.
We recently informed you of some action steps we have taken in response to a larger number of students failing to follow campus expectations than expected. These strategies are going well so far. Input from all stakeholders will help inform us as we plan additional action steps as part of our campus reset. We will keep you updated!

Each school year hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on millions of children by volunteering millions of hours in their local schools through this amazing one-of-a-kind program. Who are WatchDOGS? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities. More information coming soon!

November SOCK Campaign
We have concluded our October campaign of shoe donations. We will be shipping off over 60 bags full of shoes. Each bag holds about 20-25 pair which equates to approximately 1500 shoes! Great work! For November, we will kick off the SOCK campaign. This is for NEW socks only. November SOCK Campaign - Tiffany Sommerfeld
