Romeo Middle School has 5 new confirmed or probable case(s) of COVID-19 that resulted in 6 new students in quarantine. Our school has notified an additional 73 close contacts in connection with these cases.

America and Me Essay Contest
Each year Romeo Middle School competes with other 8th graders from across the state in a contest called America and Me Essay contest. Each student writes about his/her own Michigan hero. Out of the 440 students who participated, the 8th grade ELA teachers have reached a consensus of their top entries.

Judges from the Michigan Farm Bureau Insurance will choose a first, second, and third place winner from each school. The top 3 essayists from each school will receive a certificate for their placement. The 1st place student essayist from each school automatically advances to a statewide competition with all the other 1st place winners from the contest in the state. The top ten statewide winners will each receive $1,000.
Advisory Class Donations
Advisory hour is looking for donations! This class time is a great place for students to make connections and build relationships. There are crafts and contests and fun planned throughout the year that require extra supplies. If you would like to help support this class, teachers have submitted a "Wish List" of items that we use often. Donations can be sent in to the main office and marked advisory.Thank you in advance for your help. We are so grateful for our amazing community and parents!
