MAP and Its Prediction of the State Test NSCAS

All students in Millard K-8 take the MAP test three times a year. Based on the fall scores, the organization, NWEA, that manages MAP, uses the data for students in grades 2-10 to predict how students will do on state tests, specifically in Nebraska the NSCAS. The tables below show math (top) and reading (bottom)in order. NWEA states there is a strong indication the students in the On Track and CCR Benchmarks will past the state test. If accurate, 23.7% of our students will not pass the math test and 24.7% of our students will not past the reading (ELA) portion of the NSCAS. Of course, we hope this is wrong and we have a much greater percentage pass. We now have the results which are above the prediction. In math, 85% of our students mastered (passed) the test vs. vs. the 76% prediction, and in reading 81% mastered the test vs. the 75% prediction.

We would like to congratulate our 5th grade HAL students for earning 1st place at our MAVS Day Competition. This is a morning of math and visual spatial challenges in which we compete against three other Millard schools. It was impressive to see how well our 5th graders worked together to solve these challenges. I am SO proud of them.
