Notes from the Learning Lab
We LOVE learning!
A Life Changing Week for Mrs. Jones
On Monday night, I got a surprising and frantic phone call from my mom explaining that something was wrong with my dad, who was visiting his sisters in Florida. He had been having headaches and dizzy spells for several weeks. We all noticed that something was different about him, but he insisted on driving to Florida. I hopped on a plane with my mom so that we could be by his side during this time.
He was admitted to Tampa General Hospital on Monday and by Tuesday we found out that he had a very large cancerous tumor and was scheduled for a 9 hour brain surgery on Thursday. His recovery has been amazing and he was cracking jokes and rapping and singing for the nurses shortly after surgery with no pain medication. Our family is grateful and continues to pull together.

How can you branch out and SHOW kindness?
This idea has been something we have really been asking ourselves over the past couple of weeks. How have the students branched out and showed someone kindness this week?

Folkdancing
There is a group of girls who come upstairs several days a week to practice folk dances that they are learning with Mrs. Krent. It's a great way to spend recess and fun to watch the girls work together and teach others the dances.
