PTO BOOK FAIR!!! October 21-28
- Fair opens on Friday during school hours
- Primary/Elementary Teachers should visit and make their "wish list" choices before Wednesday, Oct. 26 which is Family Night.
- The Book Fair is bringing back teacher guest readers for family night. Casper is looking for volunteers to read between 6:30 and 7:30, possibly 10-15 minute slots. All you need to do is show up, pick a book and read it. We’re hoping guest readers will bring in more students and families to the event. Please let Casper know if you are willing to volunteer next Wednesday evening.
- Primary/Elementary Teachers--please help promote the Coin Challenge--your grade level is seeking to collect the most coins/money in order to win 50% of the total collected in new books for your classrooms! The other 50% of the pot will be split among the other grade levels/RTI/ELL/etc. This Friday is "Penny Day" so encourage your students to bring as many pennies as possible on Friday, Oct. 21. There will be a collection container for your entire grade level in your pod. Early Childhood/PreK will be combined with KDG.
EMAIL- PLEASE READ~
Just Some Friendly Reminders....
-- If you are interested in the Hour of Code, please see the information by the mailboxes!
--Please remember to shut off your Mimio when it is not in use or when you leave the classroom. This will help us preserve funds that we would normally have to spend on the bulbs used in the projectors. Thank you!
-- Please help students see the importance of MAP testing and PARCC testing by encouraging them to set goals for themselves. When we test again in January, our goal is for students to be motivated to beat their score from the last Spring. As conferences approach in November, it would be great to get the students thinking now about goal setting. If you have any ideas to enhance student motivation and understanding that the tests are important opportunities to put forth 100% effort, please let me know!
-- If you are interested in doing student-led conferences for February, but aren't sure where to start, please let me know! I would love to share some ideas and help get you started with this.
STAR Teacher! :)
