As a reminder, there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 18th in observance of MLK Day.

Note from WVA Staff

New WVA Students

We are so excited to have you join our WVA family! If you have not yet received a welcome email with instructions, please email wvaprincipal@mywps.org and we will get you set up!

Students wishing to attend WVA in 2021-2022

All students will be enrolled in their homeschool for the 2021-2022 school year. If you wish to have your child attend WVA, you will need to choose WVA in your OLR during registration.

New Virtual Orchestra Program

Students in levels 4, 5, and 6 will have the opportunity to participate in a virtual orchestra program twice a week, with both large and small instruction. WPS can provide your child with an instrument to borrow for the semester with a student fee or you may rent from a local music store. Instrument and material pickup will be on January 21-22 from 3:30-6:30. If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact Mrs. Davidek at ldavidek@mywps.org or (720) 542-5434

Picture Day

Picture Day for all remote and virtual students will be February 19th at Orchard Court. There will be no make-ups. If you would like a school picture please plan accordingly. More information will be forthcoming.

Seniors - Graduation

Seniors can pick up their graduation packet from the security office at Westminster High School beginning Tuesday, January 19th. A Jostens representative will be at WHS on January 27th to collect your orders for caps and gowns. Please contact Tracy Walsh for additional information at twalsh@mywps.org or (303) 657-3937.

Tips for Success in Virtual Learning

It is important that glucose and oxygen are reaching the brain to have the most effective learning possible. Make sure your child is standing up and walking around at least one time every hour (although we would like more than that!).
