Principal's Corner
Star Fun Day (Field Day) is Monday, May 23rd!
We still need some help in the afternoon to run the Star Fun Day (May 23rd) stations! Parents are asked to sign up and volunteer for Star Fun Day.
Parents will not be allowed to come and visit Star Fun Day events. Also, We are so thankful to our PTA for providing each student will a Star Fun Day T-shirt, which your child tie dyed in their Art class. Star Fun Day T-shirt Note: Mrs. Stewart has washed, rinsed and dried all of the tie dyed shirts (thank you, Mrs. Stewart!!), but students should still wear clothes that can get messy on Star Fun Day because the tie dye coloring still could run through during the Star Fun Day water events. Thank you!!
Summer School for our Slate students: If your child signed up for summer school, you will be receiving an email in the next week or so with more information. Just a friendly reminder that it begins June 7th- June 30th (not June 20th).

Counselor's Corner
Conflicts are a natural part of life so teaching our kids how to appropriately stand up for themselves and use their words is important to healthy relationship development. Check out these resources that discuss how to help your student stand up for themselves and use "I Statements" to tell someone how they are feeling about a situation. Practicing with your student is helpful to ensuring they feel confident with these conflict resolution skills!
