WE'RE ALL LEARNING

STUDENTS: RED, WHITE and BLUE Day at Penn

Today we celebrated Veterans Day with a school wide assembly. We began with our own Penn Boy Scout color guard and the Pledge of Allegiance. We were honored to receive a flag donated in honor of Allen Howard who has just finished basic training with the US Marine Corps. (Mr. Howard is the uncle of Caden in KM.) The best part was recognizing our honored guests: over 50 veterans! We sang patriotic songs and listened to a skit performed by 5th and 6th graders. Special thanks for all the prep to Mrs. Zacek, Kris Hynek, Mrs. Paisar, Mrs. Krueger and Ms. Fishman.

TEACHERS: We had our first night of conferences yesterday. THANKS everyone who came yesterday. It isn't too late to get signed up for a conference. Next Wednesday, 11/15, is also devoted to parent teacher conferences. We are hoping to have have seen someone for 100% of our conferences before Thanksgiving. You can sign up at this link:

Check the Lost and Found when you're here for conferences. Everything is out on tables or hanging on hooks at the south door.

Brrrrr....

It's getting COLD. Students go out for recess everyday unless the windchill is below zero. It's time to get that winter gear out if you haven't already :)
