Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss
Trees
Dear Families,
This week we had an amazing time making our crazy hats. We also watched" The Lorax" and we had an interesting discussion about it. We also counted some red beans, played Picture Words BINGO" and we were making our Grouchy Ladybugs.
As we embrace a new week and a new month, we're "Bringing Literature to Life" in our school! As you know, stories allow kids to imagine, be curious and learn valuable lessons. Reading aloud also helps them develop and acquire language skills.
Each PK classroom picked one story to celebrate literature and we're really excited to be working with "The Grouchy Ladybug" written by Eric Carle
We have many exciting events coming up in towards Bringing literature to life. I want to extend an invitation to all of you, because having you here will make this experience even more meaningful to our little ones, so you're more than welcome to come and be a "Mystery reader" for us.
Reminders,
Wednesday, March 9th is PAJAMA DAY!!! Your child can bring their favorite stuffed animal
Saturday, March 12th- ISP Family Fun Fair
Wednesday, March 16th- We will have our Bringing Literature to Life PARADE at 11:15 a.m. On that day, your child need to come to school dressed up as the Grouchy Ladybug.
Our Trees Study's still going on and to celebrate learning we're having a FIELDTRIP to SAFARICKS ZOO on March, 18th. Our deadline for the school permission slip is March, 10th
We are practicing other good health habits. Such as: Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces in the classroom (Lysol), especially when someone is sick, washing our hands before snack and lunch time and no sharing utensils and food. Please talk to your child about healthy habits and specially no putting their hands in their mouths or eyes.
Safaricks
Field trip
Dear parents,
We are happy to announce that we have scheduled a field trip this coming March 18th to Safarick’s zoo. The purpose of this journey is based on the need to provide our students with the opportunity to reinforce concepts we have studied in class. Therefore, we would like for the children to have a firsthand experience with trees and rocks. This will be a perfect way to celebrate the closure of our units. It will be supplemented with the interaction of animals and an abundance of natural landscapes, which we have learned so much about.
The following link takes you to the web page where you may find information, photo gallery and a virtual tour. This will give you a glimpse of what our children will encounter at the zoo.
