Choice School Applications
Schools intending to participate in the Choice Scholarship Program must submit an application for each year that they wish to participate. The deadline to apply for the 2019-2020 school year is September 1. Keep in mind, though, that the review and approval process may take up to two weeks. The first application window for student applications also closes on September 1. Information about required application documents is detailed in "Getting Started."
School Employees Required Trainings Resource
A new resource as been posted in the Nonpublic School Community in Moodle. Go to the "Legal" folder to find the document. This includes descriptions, links to Indiana Code, and links to available resources. If you have not yet created a Moodle account, please see these instructions for assistance.
Choice Student Applications
The first application window to submit student applications closes September 1. Please review all submitted data for accuracy prior to this deadline. The Choice School Scholarship Report in the STN Application Center can be used to review the list of students and data that has been submitted.
- If you receive the message, "SE Record not Found," notify ChoiceSchool@doe.in.gov. A specialist in special education will review the information to confirm the student's eligibility for special education services.
- If you receive the message, "Reference ID does not match STN provided," notify ChoiceSchool@doe.in.gov. Choice Program staff will verify the information.
- FERPA - It is a violation of FERPA regulation to include both the STN and student name in the same email. When corresponding with IDOE, use only the STN.
- The student folder checklist was created to help make sure that all required information is collected for each student with an approved Choice application. Use of this checklist is recommended, but not required.
School Contact Information
If there have been any changes in staff positions at your school, please be sure to complete an updated Choice School Contacts Form and send it to ChoiceSchool@doe.in.gov. School-specific communications and reminders are sent to the emails on file from this form.
Enrollment and Mobility (EM) 2018-2019 closes today. Exit codes for all students should be entered before the window closes at 4:00 p.m. The EM 2019 reporting window will not be extended or reopened for late submissions.
Testing Accommodations (TA) Layouts - Note that both the 2019 and 2020 TA layouts are currently posted. Be certain to use the guidance found in the TA 2019 layout to report IStep+ Grade 10 summer re-testers.
- The 2020 TA layout includes several changes. Please take the time to thoroughly read this document.
- The layout for Testing Labels (TL) 2020 is now available. The TL guidance is related ONLY to the reporting of WIDA assessment data. All students participating in the 2020 WIDA assessment are to be reported.
