HISTORY OF MACHU PICCHU
Near Cuzco,the capital of this great kingdom, was an extraordinary city built almost 8,000 feet above sea level on a flat ridge between two high peaks of the Andes. surrounded by agricultural terraces, the city was small, only about five square miles. but it had more then 150 buildings -- from palaces and temples to baths, storage rooms, and home for the population of about 800. Machu Picchu is now one of the most visited archaeological sites in the world.
WHAT WERE THE INCAS KNOWN FOR
The Inca are known for their success in taking over neighboring kingdoms. Some territories were taken by force, others peacefully allied with the Incas. The conquered kingdoms were allowed to retain their individual cultural identities, though they were subject to Inca labor taxes. By the time of the Spanish conquest, the Incas controlled about 12 million people along the entire length of western South America.

if you go to the city of Machu Picchu city you will have an amazing time, and you will have witness the most breath taking views. you will also get to know the history of the cities and what the Incas did for there city. and you will be staying at a fine hotel.
