Shalom Families May Purchase Dutchfest Food & Drink Tokens BEFORE Dutchfest!
Many people asked that we accept credit cards along with cash for food and drink purchases at Dutchfest. Now you can purchase Dutchfest Food & Drink Tokens with your credit card OR cash and then pay for food and drinks. Each token = $1. We will NOT accept cash or credit cards at the food building; you must purchase tokens before getting in line to order your food or drinks. These tokens can be used year after year. All sales final. Tokens have no cash value.
Dutchfest Food Tokens will be available for purchase during Dutchfest at the Token Tent, conveniently located near the food building. Shalom Families may purchase Dutchfest Tokens in advance at the High School office during regular business hours (M-F, 8:00-4:30).
Dutchfest Children’s Activity Wristbands
We are offering a neon yellow wristband for $10. This will cover all children’s activities both Friday evening and all day Saturday. Information and order forms will be sent home with each student in grades pre K-6 tomorrow. Included with the information is a card for one free children’s activity wristband for you to share with a non-Shalom student!
Items Needed for Dutchfest
Helpers and Food Items Needed: We are still in need of workers in our food areas. This is a great opportunity to make new friends and fellowship with other Shalom parents while helping the school. We also need people to sign up to make baked goods (made from scratch, not a box). If you can help in either of these areas, please call or email Tabby Schwartz 240-818-2193, tschwartz@pa.net.
Calling all bakers! Parents, grandparents, and friends: We need pies baked for Dutchfest! Please call Heidi Priest 301-766-9036 or text 301-556-6305. Boxes and pie plates are available in the main office. Thanks for your willingness and hard work!
Children's petting zoo animals needed: The Shalom Dutchfest petting zoo is looking for friendly, calm animals to pet. The petting zoo is one of the children’s activities and has been a favorite place for many of the children to spend time while at Dutchfest. The Petting Zoo will be held Saturday, May 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please contact Tina Holderman at tholderman@shalomca.com or Crystal Etchberger at cetchberger@shalomca.com.
Class of 2020 Yard Sale: The sophomore class is looking for donations for its yard sale that will be held during Dutchfest. Now is your chance to comb through things you may have been wanting to sell for some time and consider donating them to us for the yard sale. Remember, we want quality items in good condition. Please do not send in something that is broken, damaged, dirty, or in poor shape. It is helpful if you have your items pre-priced. We will be taking donations from Monday, April 30th, through Thursday, May 3rd. We will accept clothing from infant to 4T and all sizes of “Shalom wear”. All proceeds go toward the missions trip in their senior year. Thanks for your support.
