Feature Student Athlete: Kaylani Moncada
Our feature student athlete of the week is Kaylani Moncada. Kaylani is a member of the volleyball and softball teams. Mr. Beltran has given her the nickname of “Spike Master Kay” because of her amazing volleyball spikes. The volleyball team had a difficult season, but Kaylani was always positive and doing her best to cheer on and support her teammates.
Kaylani dreams of playing college volleyball at Pepperdine University on a scholarship. If she is able to attend Pepperdine, she hopes to study business. She hopes to work on the business side of the entertainment industry. Her other dreams involve traveling to places like Brazil and Greece.
Kaylani stays active when she is done with school and plays tennis, basketball, and golf as a hobby. She also helps at home by cooking for her family. Her favorite dishes to cook are carne asada and enchiladas rojoas. We hope she makes some of these dishes for the Glenn staff one day!
Kaylani is a pleasure to be around and even though volleyball season did not go as planned, we hope that she enjoyed herself and refined her leadership skills. Best of luck with softball season!
