Now (what has happened this week)

Welcome to our weekly newsletter!

Hello from all of us at Balladen School.

We have had another wonderful week here at Balladen.

I would like to start this newsletter by thanking you, parents and carers, for sharing your children with us everyday. They are a joy to work with and every single member of staff enjoys their efforts, creativity and individual traits and gifts. Thank you all.

I would also like to thank the hugely committed, motivated and enthusiastic staff who come to school everyday and give their all for the benefit of the children who walk through our gates everyday.

On Monday we had another community assembly led by David and then some of our children had a road safety talk led by our local fire service.

On Tuesday Kids Rock came into Reception and the children had a wonderful time and were really engaged in the singing, playing musical instruments and learning. Thank you to Kids Rock for coming in to our school and sharing with us!

On Wednesday our school assembly was all about Good Friday. During the assembly we had a fire drill and we were very proud that the whole school managed to move out of the hall in under 50 seconds. Well done everyone!

On Thursday we had our egg decorating competition and our coffee afternoon. Thank you all so much for the support you have given the children in decorating their eggs. They were all wonderful and so individualistic!

The winners were:

Reception: 1st Max 2nd Poppy

Year 1: 1st Evie 2nd Cody

Year 2: 1st William 2nd Alfie

Year 3: 1st Izack 2nd Jadie-Leigh

Year 4: 1st Harry 2nd Thomas

Year 5: 1st Demi 2nd Amy

Year 6: 1st Ruby 2nd Danielle

Thank you for your continued support and have a wonderful long weekend. We will see you all ready for learning on Tuesday morning.

Now (what has happened this week)

Please be careful when driving and parking around school!

Please be very careful when you are driving and parking around the school. I have had a number of parents mentioned to me that their child has been involved in a near miss with a car. This has happened more in the morning than after school.

Please ensure the safety of all of the children at school by being extra careful around school when driving and parking.

Thank you for your support and consideration.

Mr. Neil Ringrose
