Knowmia/YuJa Update
Migration is ahead of schedule and may be completed by the end of December. Once the videos are all transferred they will begin working on transferring the quizzes.
You will still have access to existing Knowmia content through spring/summer semester. After this, the Knowmia site will be shut down and existing links to content will not work. Once your videos have been transferred, please work on updating links in D2L to be YuJa links.
It's recommended that you DO NOT SWAP LINKS mid-semester. Switching mid semester can potentially mess up analytic and grading data.

Teaching Tip
One Takeaway
Teachers always have goals for what they want students to accomplish during a class period or over the course of the semester, but is that goal always the same as what students believe they are learning? One easy way to answer that question is to ask students: what is your one takeaway from today's class period or what is your one takeaway from this course? What stuck with them the most? How are they going to apply it? You can ask students to respond in a live class or using an asynchronous tool online.
This is a great strategy to use at the end of the semester to get students to reflect and to get a little feedback on your course as a whole.
If this end of semester activity isn't for you, check out this podcast where Tatiana Rodriguez shares 9 creative ways to end the semester. The handout list includes ideas like people's choice awards, games, bookends, flashbacks, networking, future focus, pep talk, visual board, and a piƱata.
