  • Low self-esteem is one of the most common characteristics of substance abusers
  • It's possible to be born with the predisposition to use drugs or alcohol

  • Inability to cope with stress of daily life

WHAT TO DO FOR HELP

You need to talk to someone you trust!

Finding medical care and treatment for your symptoms that are related to the drug of choice is very important.

Enrolling in a drug treatment rehabilitation program either medically assisted or inpatient detoxification will help get you off your drug of choice.

Narcotics Anonymous or psychological counseling can provide the emotional support needed to stay away from drugs, and the lifestyle that is harmful (Howard 2003).
