warm & gooey reminders for the week of Sept 7th-11th

Our first ever Parent Camp is coming to Schumacher on Saturday, September 19th from 8:30-noon. This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about our curriculum and various ways you can help your child.

We have a wide variety of sessions planned including:

  • How to help with Reading and Math
  • Using Yoga to help students focus
  • Creating students who are safe online
  • Teaching Engineering in Elementary School

We are excited to announce that we will also be offering FREE childcare for this event if you RSVP ahead of time here: http://goo.gl/forms/zoEq0DtRpL (All children must be potty-trained.)

We can’t wait to see you there!

Skate Night is this Thursday, September 10th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Northland Rolladium!

School Skate Night parties are a fun and easy way to help raise money for Schumacher. Bring your students and any other family or friends who want to have a blast at each month's themed skate party. (The more paid skaters, the more money raised for Schumacher.)

The class with the most attendance will be awarded the "Golden Skate Award" trophy to keep in their classroom that month along with a free pass for each student in the class to use at a future public session! This month wear your favorite pajamas for "Lazy Night Skate Night". It's only $4.00 to skate, plus $2.50 for skate rental or $3.50 for inline or speed skate rental. This month's Schumacher Celebrity appearances will be: Mr. Farris, Miss Gosnell, Miss Walls, and Mrs. Ewing!

Skate parties are private events for students and their families and friends. We are not open to the general public during skate parties. You are always welcome to stay and even skate with your child. If you are comfortable leaving your child, simply sign them in with a contact phone number with our experienced rink management and staff.

Parents, Just a reminder to call the office before 9:30am if your child will be absent. Please let us know the reason for your child's absence. If the absence is due to an illness we will ask for a brief description of their symptoms as we track this information for our nurse. Please provide a note from the doctor or dentist so that we can mark your student's absence as excused.

Students not in their classroom prior to 9:10 will be counted tardy. Breakfast eaters may enter the building at 8:45am and all other students may enter at 8:55am. If your child needs to leave early, please notify your student's teacher and the office ahead of time so that your child is ready to go when you arrive.

If you need to change your child's transportation home, please notify the office prior to 3:00pm. This ensures that we have enough time to communicate to your student and get all 600 of our students home safe and sound.

If you need to contact the office you can call (816) 736-5490 or email cmitchell@liberty.k12.mo.us or hcummings@liberty.k12.mo.us
