This Week in Team
Week of October 5
Questions to Guide Planning
- What should ALL learners know, understand, and/or be able to do as a result of this lesson? WHY should they know, understand, or be able to do this?
- What is enduring knowledge for all? What are the "have to knows" of this lesson? WHY do they need to know this?
- What do learners need to know to accomplish this objective? What background knowledge do you need to access or provide?
- What is your vision of success? What are learners doing if/when they learn this? What does successful reaching of the objective look like and sound like?
- What are the best vehicles for learners to attain the objective and practice the concepts/skills? What provisions have you planned for learners with special needs? (Direct instruction? Guided practice? Team learning? Individual task?) What opportunities for enrichment will you provide for advanced learners? These should be meaningful, engaging, and help learners to cement understandings!
- How will learners be assessed? How will they know and you know that they have learned - throughout the lesson and after you have taught the concept/skill? This is evidence of learning!
- How will assessment results guide future instruction? How will you use what you know of learner performance to plan the next lesson?

Sign Up for Your Sessions on Friday
Meaningful professional learning ignites inspiration and passion. On October 9, 2015, during our campus professional learning day, we will facilitate educator conversations centered on topics that you have chosen - ones that engage and inspire us the most. Professional learning should not be done to you; professional learning is done because of you.
On behalf of the team members, each team leader submitted up to three (3) proposals for conversation topics for the upcoming professional learning day. They have been narrowed down by the iDesign Committee to the 16 sessions linked below. Sign up for your session no later than Tuesday, October 6, 2015 @ 4 p.m.
Please click this link to see a one-liner description of the session.

We will meet after school to celebrate the end of the first six weeks! Black Walnut Café is on the corner of Denton Tap and Highland Drive (near Rosa’s Café). Come join the fun!
Tech Tip of the Week
Create a to-do list? Check things off as you go. Finished with a note? Archive it so you can go back later if needed, or delete it if you're totally finished. Are students working on a project? They can share notes with each other (through their AD12 Google Account) and cross of that to-do list as well! Want a reminder at a certain time? Add that reminder, and it will pop up if you're online. (See example to the right-click to enlarge.) You can also add picture notes by adding them from your computer or taking them with your phone.
