Ocean Garbage Gyres
The 21st century has been involved a lot with putting together champagnes and organizations with helping out keeping the ocean safe from pollution and litter. The ocean covers 71% of the Earth's surface, and contains 97% of the planet's water. Litter ends up in oceans, seas, and other bodies of water. All we can do is keep certain patches of water clean. It's shared by many nations so no wonder it ends up having litter. The main key players would have to be, well, us. We make the mess, then we want to go back and clean up our mess. If these organizations keep spreading awareness, we could probably later on in the future slow down the problem with polluting and littering.
