Supporting 21st Century Skills

Transforming Learning through School Libraries & Technology

No longer are reading and writing skills alone sufficient to prepare students for the future. In today’s world of every expanding information and global communication, students need skills in information and technology literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creative thinking to become the self-directed, adaptable, creative innovators and responsible citizens the world needs.

The Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association, through the Permanent Endowment Trust, supports these activities through scholarships to teachers seeking to become licensed school librarians and grants to fund innovative projects supporting schools’ library and technology programs as they increase student learning. To date they have provided over $50,000 in scholarships and grants since 1992. Help support these efforts through your donation to WEMTA PET.
