Welcome back, CPCSC elementary families! Please see important back-to-school information below, especially the welcome events hosted at each school.

Because of recent legislative changes, families will not be charged fees for textbooks, Chromebooks, and other classroom materials for the 2023-2024 school year.

Supplies for elementary students are paid for by the district. However, CPCSC requests that elementary students also have the following:

• Backpack (no wheels, please)
• Pencil case
• Chromebook case cover (strongly recommended, dimensions are 12x9 inches)
• Headphones or earbuds
• Reusable water bottle

We will be using ParentSquare for our mass communication tool across the district. This platform ensures parents receive information in one consistent place.

Now that the initial registration window from last week has passed, our technology team is working on connecting PowerSchool and ParentSquare. Once the systems are connected, you will see your student placed in the correct grade/school in ParentSquare. Thanks for your patience as our team finishes this process. We will send more information about ParentSquare to families soon.

Eisenhower Elementary will host the following back-to-school events:

• Popsicles on the Playground - August 2: K-2 - 5:00-5:45 p.m.; 3-5 5:45-6:30 p.m.
• Kindergarten Kickoff - August 9 and 10 from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
• Open House - August 15. Last names A-M - 5:00-5:45 p.m.; Last names N-Z 5:45-6:30 p.m.

Jerry Ross Elementary will host the following back-to-school events:

• Kindergarten Kickoff: August 8 and 9, 9:00-11:00 a.m.
• Popsicles on the Playground: August 13, 5:00-6:00 p.m.
• Kindergarten Open House: August 14, 5:00-6:00 p.m.
• Open House grades 1-5: August 15. Last names A-G: 5:00-5:30 p.m. Last names H-M: 5:45-6:15 p.m. Last names N-Z: 6:30-7:00 p.m.

Lake Street Elementary will host the following back-to-school events:

• Kindergarten Kickoff - August 8 and 9, 9-11 a.m.
• Open House and popsicles on the playground - August 14. Last names A-L 5-6 p.m. Last names M-Z 6-7 p.m.

MacArthur Elementary will host the following back-to-school events:

• Kindergarten Kickoff - August 8 & 9, 9-11 a.m.
• Popsicles on the Blacktop - August 9 at 6:00 p.m.
• Open House - August 14 from 5-6:30 p.m. Last names A-M 5-5:45 p.m. Last names N-Z 5:45 -6:30 p.m.

Solon Robinson Elementary will host the following back-to-school events:

• Kindergarten Kickoff - August 9 & 10 from 9-11 a.m.
• Popsicles at the Park - August 10 from 6-7 pm at Solon Park
• Open House - August 15. Last names A-M 5:30-6:15 p.m. Last names N-Z 6:15-7:00 p.m.

Timothy Ball Elementary will host the following back-to-school events:

Winfield Elementary will host the following back-to-school events:

• Bulldog Buddies Preschool Open House - August 15 at 4 pm
