plot development
it is a literary term used to describe the events that make up a story or the main part of a story. this events relate to each other in a pattern or a sequence. The structure of a novel depends on organization of events in the plot of the story.
setting
The literary element setting includes the historical moment in time and geographic location in which a story takes place, and helps initiate the main backdrop and and mood for a story.
rising action
Rising action in a plot is a series of relevant incidents that create suspense, interest and tension in a narrative. In literary works, a rising action includes all decisions, characters’ flaws and background circumstances that together create turns and twists leading to a climax. We find it in novels, plays and short stories. Rising action is one of the elements of plot, begins immediately after its exposition.
falling action
Falling action is defined as the parts of a story after the climax and before the very end.
resolution
Resolution is the part of the story's plot line in which the problem of the story is resolved or worked out. This occurs after the falling action and is typically where the story ends.
body paragraph
Body paragraphs come after the introduction and before the conclusion. The body is usually the longest part of an essay, and each body paragraph may begin with a topic sentence.
conclusion
The conclusion (ending or closing) of your writing is what wraps it all up for the reader. Stop writing when you have said it all, but the conclusion should tie up all loose ends.
brainstorming
The purpose of a brainstorming session is to work as a group to define a problem and find a plan of action to solve it.
revise
The process of rereading a text and making changes (in content, organization, sentence structures, and word choice) to improve it.
edit
prepare (written material) for publication by correcting, condensing, or otherwise modifying it.

outline
An outline is usually in the form of a list divided into headings and subheadings that distinguish main points from supporting points. Most word processors contain an outlining feature that allows writers to format outlines automatically.
