Important Counseling Update
An important note from the Counseling Department regarding student schedules in HAC. We are aware that students are able to view their schedules in HAC. However, those schedules are not necessarily going to be the same on the first day of school.
We are currently working on Master Schedule changes, and the current schedule in HAC may change. In addition, schedule changes were due in the Counseling Office on June 11th. Therefore, the only schedule changes that will be made are schedule corrections, such as, a student should be in English 1, but has English 2 on their schedule, or is missing a lunch period.
The counseling office has been receiving quite a few phone calls regarding student’s assigned lunch period. For the most part, lunch periods are assigned by grade level: 4th period lunch is for 9th graders, 5th period Lunch is for 10th graders and 6th period Lunch is for 11th & 12 grade students. However, a student’s schedule could affect that lunch schedule. For instance, a 10th grade student’s athletic period may be in 3rd period, therefore, their lunch period would be 4th period to allow more time for that student’s practice, opportunity to change clothes, and eat lunch.

Prep Days August 10th & 11th
Get school started early by getting textbooks, walking your schedule, updating information, and buying your Marshall spirit gear to name a few. The schedule has been adjusted since the "save the date" postcard was mailed due to the positivity rate in San Antonio. We are making an intentional effort to provide social distancing at this event so please acknowledge the assigned times.

Prep Day will run much more smoothly for students if their Home Access Center (HAC) account has been updated and/or created for students who are new enrollments to Northside ISD. For information on how to update or create a HAC account can be found here Home Access Center (HAC) Information. Student schedules and STAAR scores can be found in their HAC account.

Please park in the student parking lot (the lot facing Eckert Road). You will enter Marshall Prep Days through the auditorium.
*We are encouraging all our students and community members to continue to wear a mask while on campus.
Vaccination Clinic at Marshall
On Tuesday, August 10, there will be a COVID vaccination clinic for the Marshall Community. The vaccination clinic will be in E 101 from 9 am to 12 pm. This is during the first morning of Prep Days, so we welcome all our students to take this opportunity to receive their COVID vaccination.
If you are attending Prep Days, you can park in the front of the school then go to the clinic once you have completed Prep Days.
If you are only attending the vaccination clinic, you can park in the bus loop and enter E 101 through the courtyard.
Come early starting at 5:00 pm for our Parade of Halls and Buildings allowing you time to walk YOUR Schedule and get a jump start on the first day of school.
LifeTouch School ID Code Error
For students who took yearbook pictures on Aug. 4 and 5, there was an error with the school ID listed on the order form. The correct school ID is: EVT8VZ96H. Please use this ID when ordering your student’s pictures. Our apologies for any confusion this might have caused.
Advanced English, Dual, AP-Summer Reading
Just a reminder that if you are enrolled in advanced English courses, there is a summer reading requirement. The assignments and reading choices are posted on the Marshall website under academics, English department.
Save the Date: Advanced Academic Parent Meeting
We will host an advanced academic parent meeting on Thursday, September 2nd at 6:30 in the Auditorium at Marshall High School. This meeting is recommended for students who are taking advanced academic classes for the 21-22 school year.
Camps: Choir and ROTC
The Choir Department will be having Mixed Region Choir camp Monday 8/9-8/12 from 1-3 pm in the choir room (D125) . This camp is recommended for students wishing to compete in the Region choir contest. Music will be provided. Bring a pencil and water.
There will be a Leadership Camp from 10-12 August from 8AM to 2PM. This is for returning cadets, new cadets, or anyone interested in the NJROTC program. This is a broad exposure to NJROTC and is designed to be fun. Wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes. Lunch will be provided. On Wednesday the alterationist will be there to fit uniforms. Meet at the cafeteria. Also, there will be an Orientation for NJROTC Thursday, 12 August at 6:30PM in the cafeteria for parents who are interested, or have students enrolled, in the NJROTC program.
