Focus Meeting Pre-Work

November 17 - 3:50 pm - Genoa Elementary Library

The agenda for the meeting will include discussions about Office 365, Office 2013, OneDrive and OneNote. As you work with your staff and students, it is important to understand the way Microsoft intends files to be stored, shared and synced.

The links provided in this flyer will give you an opportunity to refresh your memory and test your knowledge of the terms used when talking about these applications.

OneNote Overview

Watch this introduction to OneNote. Are there any features that are new to you? Do you see some ways it could benefit yourself or your campus?

Don't worry about logging into EDpuzzle, I won't be tracking responses!

Things to Think About

Here are some questions that will be posed at the Focus Meeting.

  • What is the best way to find OneNote notebooks that have been shared with you?
  • How do you share your OneNote notebooks with others if you want them to be able to:

    1. View online only?
    2. Quickly Edit online without downloading?
    3. Be able to open the OneNote notebook in Office 2013 to View only but still get updates?
    4. Be able to edit (collaborate) on your OneNote notebook?
    5. What are some features of OneNote that you want to learn more about and be able to incorporate?

Office 365 Vocabulary Practice

Here are some practice tools (I hope the adds aren't too distracting!):

Use the Flashcard Machine study cards to test your knowledge of Office 365 terms. You can start a study session, play a game, or print out study cards.

Test your skill on Super Teacher Tools to match the term with its definition.
