Gearing Up for The Last Full Week!
The last full week of school! Amazing! Some kudos to:
- Kevin Jackson and Andrew Aja and ASB/Senior Class for organizing a fine Prom at the Claremont! (see below)
- Chris Jones and the Yearbook Staff for putting together a gorgeous yearbook! (If you didn't purchase a copy, you might check with him to see if there are any left)
- Carol Drewes for producing 23,689 athletic recognition certificates (we lost count) for spring sports awards.
- Kim Arntz, Jake Dunn, and Heidi Mickelson for pulling off FFA Spring Week - FFA Dinner and Awards, Haybucking in the Quad, and the Car Show!
Monday (today) is Link Crew training in the gym from 9:30-11:30am. Megan sent list but here is a link:

Wednesday is our last chance to do a little business before we settle into finals week and graduation. I will send out an agenda during the day on Monday. Planning to have some food on hand that afternoon. Part of that agenda includes a PLC share out:
Please bring a device, and sit with your PLC group to facilitate discussion. Here are the questions you were asked to consider:
- The essential standards that your team developed for your course
- How you assessed mastery of the essential standard? What common formative assessments did you develop?
- How did your students do on the assessments? What did you find when reviewing student work as a team?
- What did you to reteach essential standards that had not been met?
- What changes were made to classroom practice?
- What are your plans for next year?
Please complete your documentation and share it with David and Debi for use in the WASC report and for summer planning. (This is critical - we really need a takeaway product for use with the WASC team!)
Friday, May 27th, 3:30 pm is the Staff Party! Thank you for opening your home, Sophie! Sophie Warin’s Home & Garden-111 Post St. (please RSVP to Jennifer's doc)

Project Grad Update from Rita Schaefer
Project Graduation "Safe and Sober Grad Night" would like to thank parents and seniors for choosing a safe option to celebrate the night of their graduation from high school. Please know that this night is possible through the sole support of members and businesses around you in the community that believe strongly in this program. We receive no money from State, Federal, or local Education programs. And 25 years of no fatality on graduation night is the greatest reward for all the work.
Paperwork was mailed home in early April with information about the event. There are two forms (or both sides of the yellow sheet mailed home) that must be completed by both the student and the parent. The admission is $50 and should be attached and returned, in a sealed envelope. At this date, please drop off in the main office instead of mailing. Information will also be presented to the government and econ classes.
A few items of note: everyone should check in at the Project Grad table in the quad the last week of school to make sure all paperwork is in order. On Saturday night, please only bring phone and I.D. (or photocopy). No purses, backpacks, etc. will be allowed. Please get a ride, there is limited parking and you can't park in the shopping center. Most important is that you will be tired when you leave! Arrive between 7:30 and 9:00- late arrivals must have a parent/guardian sign them in. Anyone leaving before the event end at 3:30 or 4:00 will need to be signed out by parent/guardian as well.
We want all seniors to attend, even those who may not be 'walking' that morning. If you have any questions, burdens, concerns, please contact me at ritaprojectgrad@gmail.com. Thank you again for your support, I'd like to encourage you to continue your support of this program by 'liking' our facebook page, Petaluma High School Project Graduation, for news and updates.
With my deepest thanks,
Rita Schaefer
