Families,
State and federal laws require students in grades 3-11 to take one or more of the following assessments: M-STEP, PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, SAT, and ACT WorkKeys. The Michigan Department of Education requires districts to administer these assessments to students in person. Students in all of Troy’s middle and high school programs will be required to come in person to be proctored for these assessments.
BYOD
Students will need to bring their fully charged district issued iPads for the MSTEP, PSAT, and SAT assessments this year. If your student hasn’t checked out a district iPad for the school year, then a device will be provided on test day.
Your student is enrolled in a program through Troy College and Career High School and will take these assessments at the Troy Learning Center. Below are the dates and times of the assessments, and information about locating the school.

Clap Outs at your former elementary schools.
It is with great pride that we announce the upcoming Clap Out Celebrations for the 2024 graduating seniors of Troy College and Career High School. These exceptional students have shown remarkable dedication and perseverance throughout their academic careers and are now ready to embark on their next chapter.
As a longstanding tradition celebrating academic achievement and community support, graduating seniors will participate in "Clap Out" processions at various elementary schools within our district. Dressed in their caps and gowns, the graduates will walk the halls to applause and cheers from younger students, inspiring them to strive for their own future successes.
The schedule for the Clap Out Celebrations is as follows (other schools will let me know soon):
- Leonard Elementary: May 29th at 3:00 PM
- Barnard Elementary: June 4th at 2:30 PM
- Troy Union Elementary: June 13th at 11:30 AM
- Hamilton Elementary: June 13th at 12:00 PM
