Happy Mother's Day to all the 4C Moms!

Math

Mrs. Close's Class ~ The bridge building companies have been very busy! The building began today. On Monday, companies will be faced with their biggest challenge yet; putting the pieces together to form a bridge. The plan is to test the bridges next Thursday! Math placement tests will be given on Tuesday and Wednesday of the upcoming week. A letter regarding these tests came home in the winter report card. The results of these tests help make 5th grade placement decisions. At this point, it looks like we'll begin Module 7 on May 22nd.

Mr. Lawton's Class ~ In math we are coming to the end of our unit on fractions. Everyone has done an awesome job these last few weeks with the rigor of the curriculum and the testing. I have some fun activities planned as we move into the next unit. We have had one student complete their Xtra Math, which was great. Have them continue to practice their facts and get that fluency up. I have aligned Prodigy to the next unit, so they will begin practicing with measurements and the metric system again. Thanks for all the help getting homework done!

Google Forms

There are two google forms below. Once you've seen several times for chaperoning field trips. This will be the last week for that form. The other form is for lunches for field trips. Please fill that form out only if you would like me to order a lunch for your child from our cafeteria for our trips to GCM and/or Onanda Park.

ELA

Picture Book Friday ~ Kenny read to us on Monday to get our week started! Lauren B. entertained us today. This has been so much fun! We have three guest readers left. Alex is booked for 5/19, then Lauren M. on 5/26 and Abbey is set for the first Friday of June!

PAWS ~ Only 2 PAWS assignments left! #15 was assigned today for kids who like to get an early start. The final PAWS (#16) will be assigned on May 19th and will be due June 2nd.

Small Groups ~ We continue to tackle our novels!

The second part is written and that will be administered on Monday, June 5th.
