Home Educators Resource Directory

Are you looking to connect with others in your area who are also schooling their children at home? The Home EDucators Resource Directory is a great community resource for groups in your area with families who school at home. Keep in mind that ARVA is a public, online school and many of the groups on this page include families who traditionally home school so there may be groups listed who only invite traditional home schoolers, but there are many who are open to online school families as well.

Share them with us so that we can share them with the ARVA community.

What Motivates Your Student?
We all seek achievement through various means. Motivation for most students resides along a continuum which has at its ends, compliance and control. Understanding where your student lies along that continuum allows you to discover techniques that will help motivate your student in ways that feel better to the student.

December 6th @ 6:30pm

Your Role As A Learning Coach
As a learning coach it is important to understand what we are able to provide and what we should provide to help our student be successful. “When I understand what I am responsible for I have a better chance of working effectively with my student using the things I can control. I stop wasting time trying to control things that the student has control over.”
