Merry Christmas!
I truly wish all of you and your families a very, Merry Christmas! I love this time of year when we get to spend time with our families. I hope you make time to cherish the time with those that are special to you, especially all of your wonderful children. I will miss them over break and look forward to seeing them on January 3rd! Thank you for all of the wonderful gifts too. I feel very blessed to be your child's teacher!
Gingerbread Houses
On Monday, we visited The Good Samaritan Center and made gingerbread houses with the residents. The kids had a great time, and came home with just a few pieces of candy. It was a good experience for everyone! Thank you to everyone that furnished frosting and candy.
Christmas Party/Fun
We had a lot of fun playing games, exchanging gifts, and watching The Trumpet of the Swan movie in the Events Center. We played the "steal" game for our gift exchange and it was very fun. Things got a little crazy near the end of the game! The students enjoyed playing Tenzi with their dice, Headbandz with Christmas-themed words, and board games.
Texas Christmas Gift
We received a special package from our friends in Texas on Monday. They sent us an ornament for our tree (a swift fox, their mascot), pieces of cotton that were harvested in Texas, candy canes, and each child received a letter from one of Mrs. Hunter's students.
