The Mission of Pike Road Schools
Happy Holidays!
Congratulations to Paula Walker for Being Named PTSA President
Paula Walker and her husband Tyler have been married for eight years and they have three children. Avery Jean is seven years old and is in the second grade. Hartley is four years old and attends the PRS P.O.P.P.I.E. Program. Easton is fourteen months old.
Before becoming a full time mom she was part of the founding team and office manager of The Waters Realty. She worked four years as a preschool teacher at GracePointe Child Development Center. She enjoys helping with the children's ministry at her church, GracePointe and loves spending time with her family.
For the past two years, she has served as VP of Membership at her children's previous school and also served in this role at PRS for the first half of the year.
She and her husband have lived in Pike Road for more than ten years and are so excited to be Pike Road Patriots!
Paula said, "We have a wonderful school with dedicated lead learners, staff and volunteers, I look forward to 2016!"
career Day
Community 7/8 is hosting our first ever Pike Road School’s Career Day. This is a student organized project. Our tentative date is February 5th during school hours. The goal for Career Day is for students at Pike Road School to get a better understanding and to be inspired by possible career options. In the morning, we will have speakers who will share about their careers. If you are interested in sharing about your career, please click this link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lmKGs9EOshDUpk-F2QJuzcVWLodathTnYR4YjyJnzEE/edit#gid=0 and share your information.
We are also looking for volunteer college students (not freshmen) or recent college graduates to speak at this event. They will share about college life and their major. If you are interested or know of college students who might be interested in being apart of this event, please click this link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ud251D6ixBGAzcM4N6g8YPW59gorBtda3ZcJjZQAzJg/edit#gid=0 and share your information.
